We begin each relationship with a conversation and welcome you to drive the meeting with your questions and concerns.  Whether you are an experienced or novice investor, we want to understand your needs and how we can help you pursue your objectives. Along the way, we may ask questions such as:

  • What do you want to accomplish?
  • What and who is important to you?
  • What are your concerns and aspirations?

After we learn how you approach investment decisions and define your goals, we will help you build a purpose-driven investment strategy that we will regularly review and adjust as needed.

 

BUILDING A WEALTH PLAN

Over the course of the ongoing six step process, we will:

  • Gather an inventory of assets, liabilities, and current and future expected income
  • Identify and prioritize goals
  • Establish how much risk (uncertainty) you are willing to accept in pursuit of each goal
  • Develop a funding plan for each goal
  • Recommend investments and develop an investment strategy based on identified goals
  • Regularly review the alignment of goals with the investment strategy and make adjustments as needed

 

BUILDING AN INVESTMENT STRATEGY

We use our in-depth understanding of your wealth management plan and your risk tolerance to help you select investments and build a portfolio that supports your evolving needs and objectives.

Our process is designed to support your needs, whether you 1) prefer an advisor to help you perform the day-to-day responsibilities of managing your investment strategy or 2) prefer to be more involved in the implementation and adjustment of your investment strategy.

 

ONGOING REVIEWS 

During the process of understanding your needs and objectives, we will set mutually agreed upon expectations regarding frequency and method of contact.  We welcome in-person meetings and use a combination of phone and web-based tools to connect with clients locally and from across the country.

At a minimum, we request to meet or speak with you annually to capture any changes to your plan and provide up-to-date performance.

Meetings typically include a review of how your investment strategy supports the progress toward your goals, adjustments based on changes in your life, suggested changes due to changing market or investment characteristics, and non-investment planning and management items. 

Whether you are down the street, on the move, or across the country, we will focus on what aspects are most important to you and maintain meaningful contact based on your preferences.
